    Through our long-standing agreements with larger, area colleges and universities, Mayville State University students are invited to participate in 2 fall Fairs, and 2 spring Fairs. These Fairs are held in Grand Forks and Fargo. WATCH FOR E-MAIL ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND ALSO PLAN ON PREPARING FOR THOSE FAIRS BY reviewing the videos and other resources that Career Services provides for you.

NDSU Spring Career Expo
Tuesday, February 26, 2013 (noon-3pm) - Business and any "Liberal Arts" majors
Wednesday, February 27, 2013 (10am - 3pm) - Computer Information Systems majors

Prior to any Fair, you must spend time researching the companies that will be attending! Check each career fair website often for employers and what types of opportunities they are offering. BE PREPARED!!! The employers WILL expect you to know something about their company.

We offer “How to Create a Resume” workshops so you can find an internship, part-time job or fulltime job.

      •             ..Help Seminars are 30 - 50 minutes, sometimes less
      •             ..LOCATION: CB 116 (unless otherwise noted)
      •             ..Seminars will benefit ANY and ALL majors
      •             ..FREE!

        • You’ll need a resume for almost every job to which you might apply. Start to plan ahead for summer jobs, INTERNSHIPS, fulltime jobs, and so on. This seminar will show you how to present your skills, abilities and experiences with the most effective presentation.


POLICY REGARDING INTERVIEWS CONDUCTED ON CAMPUS
and FACILITATED BY CAREER SERVICES/INTERNSHIPS:

  • Any candidate who wishes to sign up for an on-campus interview with a company or school district representative must have attended one of the following:
  • >Interview Help Session - conducted by Career Services
  • >Professional Development Seminar - facilitated by the Division of Business and CIS
  • >Student Teaching Seminar Interview Session - conducted by Career Services
  • This policy will also apply to interviews coordinated by Career Services/Internships when the interviews are held at an off-campus location.
