· Hands-on career exploration strategies, including Internships and Job Shadowing
· An internship is a job related to your major (for credit and usually paid); are available to all majors
· Job Shadowing is an opportunity to "shadow" an employer for a period of time or simply conduct an information
interview to learn the specifics of a career area or specific occupation
· Assistance and advisement on a variety of topics related to career exploration, graduate/professional school information, and job search strategies
· Electronic and print resources are available for preparing for a job search
· Various forms of assistance to help graduates and alumni find appropriate and satisfying employment
· Access to Job and Career Fairs where exciting opportunities can be found for both career and internship positions. The Fairs are conducted collaboratively on other campuses in the region, and are open to our students and graduating seniors

Mission Statment
To promote greater awareness within the Institution of issues related to the field of career planning and the world of work, as they affect persons over their lifetimes. To assist students and alumni engage in self-assessment, obtain occupational information, explore employment opportunities or advanced education, and to present themselves effectively as candidates.
Our ultimate goal is to provide resources that allow/enhance optimal placement in employment or further professional preparation for the greatest number of Mayville State University students and alumni.
