Distance Student Orientation
In your first semester with Mayville State, you will be enrolled in the Distance Student Orientation course within Moodle (Mayville State’s online course management system).  This optional orientation course is available for you approximately one week prior to the start of the semester.  The Distance Student Orientation will provide you with an opportunity to practice Moodle navigation and skills, review important information about being an online or distance student, and network with other online and distance students.

The main purpose of Byrnes-Quanbeck Library is to support teaching and learning at Mayville State University. However, the Library also provides recreational materials like best sellers, books on tape, DVDs, and children’s books. Those resources are supplemented by a growing collection of electronic periodical subscriptions and e-books.

As a distance student, you will have immediate access to the virtual library at https://www.mayvillestate.edu/Academics/Library/Pages/default.aspx. Whenever you are prompted to log on, use your student ID barcode on the back side of your ID and the password is your last name. You are also able to have materials from the physical library or from other North Dakota libraries sent to you by following the Distance Education Interlibrary Loan (ILL) instructions below.
