College Physics
College Physics consists of three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.
It is an algebra-based physics course designed to provide a general, conceptual understanding of the principles of physics related to motion, energy, and properties of matter.
Please submit the syllabus to your institution to insure the course may be transferred.
PHYS 211 College Physics I (lecture only) will be offered online during the Fall Semester and PHYS 212 College Physics II (lecture only) will be offered online during the Spring Semester. The lab will be offered on the Mayville State University campus on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:50 p.m. Online students needing only the lecture component may register for PHYS 211 or PHYS 212. University Physics
University Physics consists of four hours of lecture per week. A calculus based physics course designed to provide Science and Engineering majors with a deeper understanding of the principles of physics related to motion, energy, and properties of matter. This course is intended as an alternative to PHYS 211, not sequential to it. Upon transferring to another NDUS institution, the four course credits obtained in taking this course at MSU may be reduced to three credits.
Please submit the syllabus to your institution to insure the course may be transferred.
PHYS 251 University Physics I (lecture only) will be offered online during the Fall Semester and PHYS 252 University Physics II (lecture only) will be offered online during the Spring Semester.
